Marni Lane is a media expert with a decade of experience at ABC News and Conde Nast as a producer, editor and writer. She has worked directly with some of the most accomplished personalities in journalism, including Peter Jennings, Diane Sawyer and Brian Ross. Marni’s experience with television, Web, radio, print and broadband media makes her ideally suited to work with The Latimer Group clients as our Media Specialist.

Marni’s depth and breadth of experience is significant: she has produced investigations, breaking news, long-form feature stories, series, and special events. She has covered a broad range of topics, from terrorism, politics and business scandals to fashion and entertainment.

At ABC News, Marni worked for the Investigative Unit, producing exclusive stories for Good Morning America , World News Tonight with Peter Jennings , PrimeTime Live , 20/20 , World News Now and ABC News Now . While with the Investigative Unit, she was nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy for Outstanding Interview.

Marni also was responsible for integrating reporting between World News Tonight with Peter Jennings and ABCNEWS.com, while managing, line editing, writing and producing editorial content for the site. She also helped launch ABC News’ 24-hour broadband channel, ABC News Now.

In 2004, Marni traveled across the United States on the ABC News Vote 2004 Campaign Bus, field producing and coordinating cross-country political coverage. She started her career at ABC News at Prime Time Live , where she booked interviews and researched stories for Diane Sawyer.

In addition to her experience at ABC, Marni oversaw and produced an internationally-syndicated, one-hour television show for Vogue Magazine . At Vogue , she developed editorial trend reports and series, while interviewing celebrities, entertainers, athletes, and experts.

Marni holds a BA in Political Science and French from Bucknell University. She lived in New York City for almost a decade, before moving to Norwalk, CT where she currently lives with her husband Jason, an attorney.
